Controls Technician

Bowling Green/Glasgow/Horse Cave KY area

We're looking for an experienced Controls Technician with a strong electrical background to support automated production equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern automation systems while helping improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and overall plant performance.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot PLC-controlled production equipment
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on automated equipment
Work with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, photo eyes, and three-phase motors
Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Support equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime

Qualifications

2+ years of industrial maintenance or controls experience
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience troubleshooting PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred)
Experience with VFDs, three-phase motors, and industrial automation
Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
Ability to read electrical schematics
Technical degree or equivalent industrial experience preferred
