SS&C Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Managing Director to lead and manage a significant business unit or regional operation, driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and profitability. This role requires a visionary leader capable of fostering strong client relationships, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring the delivery of innovative solutions within the financial services technology sector.

About the Role

The Managing Director will oversee all aspects of the business unit's operations, including sales, client service, product development, finance, and human resources. The role involves cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, leading and mentoring a team of senior professionals, managing financial performance, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, representing SS&C Technologies at industry events, and driving innovation and digital transformation initiatives within the business unit.

Required Experience

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Technology, or a related field; an MBA is preferred. The candidate should have a minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in the financial services technology industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management or executive role. Proven track record of successfully managing and growing a significant business unit or regional operation, demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, business development, and financial management, strong understanding of financial markets, investment management, and relevant technology solutions, exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, results-oriented with a strong commitment to achieving business goals, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and complex global environment.

Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. New Jersey: The expected base salary for the position is between $200,000 USD to $230,000 USD. New York: The expected base salary for the position is between $200,000 USD to $230,000 USD. In addition, employees in this role may be eligible for consideration on an annual basis for a discretionary bonus and/or equity awards, such as restricted stock units or stock options, based upon individual and business performance at the company's discretion.
