You will work closely with application developers to plan, execute, and report on tests of applications developed and deployed in an AWS cloud environment. You should have a deep understanding of software requirements and experience running tests of software applications against specified requirements or objectives.Quality Assurance Software Tester responsibilities are:Execute automated and manual test cases against applications deployed in an AWS cloud environment and analyze resultsLog and document bugs and similar test failures in the tracking systemReview and analyze software requirement and design specificationsEvaluate product code according to specificationsAssist with troubleshooting issuesWork with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycleSupport security testing, hardening, and assessments to meet strict compliance and operational security requirementsQuality Assurance Software Tester requirements are:5+ years of software testing/QA experienceExperience in project management and QA methodologyFamiliarity with modern agile software development principles, practices, methods, and toolsExperience with version control systems (preferably Git) and issue tracking software (preferably Jira)Ability to troubleshoot, document, and explain errorsStrong analytical skills and ability to work under pressureBS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldMust be able to pass a full background investigation and obtain a security badge to enter the applicable government facilityDesired Qualifications are:Experience working with AWS services or AWS cloud certification(s) are a plusFamiliarity with GIS and similar scientific data and applicationsIndustry certifications such as AWS certifications, CCSP, Cloud+, Security+, and GCLD Tactibit Technologies LLC
