Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med/Surg Telemetry position. This role involves working day shifts, specifically three 12-hour shifts per week, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The candidate should possess a minimum of 12 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
• Monitor patient status and vitals, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic charting system.

Qualifications

• Active Permanent Ohio RN license or Compact License in hand.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• At least one year of combined permanent experience in the specialty.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Evidence of successful previous leadership or charge nurse experience is preferred.

Compliance Requirements

• Must meet COVID-19 vaccination requirements, with exemptions considered for medical or religious reasons.
• Flu vaccination required, with exemptions considered as outlined.
• Compliance with nicotine-free requirements is necessary for most positions, except for nurses and surgical technologists.
• Background checks will be conducted, with candidates disqualified from consideration for any open cases or license infractions.

Additional Information

• All references must come from managers, supervisors, or directors within the past year, and co-worker references are not accepted.
• Candidate must complete BCI/FBI prints within 48 hours of signing a contract.
• Annual hands-on competency requirements apply for continuous contracts.
