Travel RN - Telemetry

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry (Intermediate Care Unit) position at an acute care hospital in Alton, IL, requiring at least 1 year of experience and ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications.

Job Details

• Intermediate Care Unit (Telemetry) in a 158-bed acute care hospital,
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (3x12-hour shifts),
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6,
• Every other weekend required,
• On-call is required,
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required,
• Block scheduling is not available,
• Charting is done in Epic; experience with Epic is required,
• Free parking on-site,

Job Requirements

• Active IL RN license required; candidates with a pending IL license may be considered - please note this when applying,
• Active MO state RN license required at time of consideration,
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS),
• Minimum 1 year of RN telemetry or intermediate care experience required,
• Epic EMR experience required,
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position,

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,
• Navy scrubs required,
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation,
• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler,
• Travelers may work at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break is required before returning,
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years will be required
