ResponsibilitiesHazTek is seeking an experienced Construction Safety Professional to provide full-time safety oversight for a large-scale construction project in Elizabeth, New Jersey. The project includes earthwork, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other major construction activities.ResponsibilitiesProvide safety oversight throughout all phases of constructionMonitor work activities for compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirementsConduct site inspections and identify unsafe conditions or work practicesReview job hazard analyses, safety plans, and high-risk work activitiesLead safety meetings and communicate expectations to contractors and project personnelDocument safety observations, corrective actions, incidents, and daily activitiesCollaborate with project leadership and subcontractors to promote a strong safety cultureSupport incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are completedMaintain a consistent field presence across multiple active construction operationsQualificationsMinimum of five years of experience working as a safety professionalOSHA 30-Hour Construction certificationCompletion of 24-Hour HAZWOPER trainingCurrent Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certificationStrong knowledge of OSHA construction standardsExperience supporting large, multi-trade construction projectsStrong communication, documentation, and hazard-recognition skillsAbility to work approximately 40–48 hours per week on the day shiftOverviewHazTek Safety Management is a full-service, objective safety partner, founded in 1997.
