Web Press Operator

The Web Press Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining web press equipment to produce high-quality printed materials that meet or exceed customer expectations. This role supports daily press operations, ensures product quality, and works collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating assigned web press equipment to meet production and quality standards
• Supporting daily press operations and assisting with team coordination as needed
• Reviewing job specifications and preparing press for production runs
• Monitoring print quality throughout production including trims, alignment, folds, ink density, color accuracy, and clarity
• Identifying and correcting quality issues in a timely manner to minimize waste and rework
• Performing routine and basic maintenance on press equipment; escalating issues when needed
• Following all safety procedures and identifying potential hazards or risks in the workplace
• Accurately documenting production data, job details, and performance metrics
• Working cross-functionally with production, quality, and customer service teams
• Contributing to continuous improvement and Lean initiatives

Qualifications include:

• Minimum of 2+ years of web press experience in a manufacturing or print environment
• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred
• Strong understanding of the print process from prepress through production
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets, safety rules, and operating procedures
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on print and color quality
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office is a plus
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

Physical and work environment requirements include:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Comfortable working in a production environment with noise, ink, and chemicals
• Required use of PPE at all times

$24 - $29 an hour
