Summary:
Collects and processes blood specimens for testing in the laboratory. Responsibilities:
- Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques.
- Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing.
- Maintains supplies and equipment.
- Performs clerical tasks as necessary or assigned, including answering calls and entering data.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure if required by law. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
