Assistant Chefjob duties and responsibilities Ensure that all dishes are cooked well and presented in an aesthetic pleasing way Prepare cooking ingredients for restaurant and deli Maintain high standards on product freshness and hygiene Maintain the workplace and back storage to be clean, safe and organized Take orders and explain the food menu Serve orders and take dishes away Prepare special orders and requestsPlace “Made on date stickers” on products and maintain the ingredient quality Greet customers and respond to their inquiries courteously Perform other kitchen duties as assigned Requirements Physical Demand Lift goods up to 20 LB Assistant Chef job skills and qualifications Prior experience in an assistant-chef establishment Excellent written and oral communication skills Highly developed interpersonal skills High level of stamina to work on feet for extended periods Ability to work well under intense time pressure Dedication to on-time arrival for shifts Available to work a variety of hours, days, and shifts, including weekends Ability to transport food safely or beverages to a table of three in a single trip Polite and hospitable attitude Nice to have...
