Senior Vehicle Mechanical Engineer (M.S./Ph.D.) Location: Phoenix, AZ Practice: Vehicle Engineering Position Type: Full-time Workplace Type: On-Site Responsibilities Accident Reconstruction Technical analysis of transportation accidents involving heavy trucks and passenger vehicles Fieldwork including inspections of accident site and vehicles Field and laboratory evaluations including full‑scale vehicle and component testing Preparing written technical reports and presenting findings to diverse audiences Qualifications M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field A minimum of 4 years of post‑graduation work experience in an OEM, another relevant automotive industry position, or in engineering consulting P.E. license or the willingness to obtain a P.E. license Presently legally authorized to work in the United States; no immigration sponsorship or processing required Advanced knowledge of dynamics and mechanical design experience in vehicle dynamics and/or crashworthiness preferred Interest in automotive systems such as vehicle communication networks, chassis systems, or Advanced Driver‑Assistance Systems (ADAS) Attention to detail and dedication to quality and accuracy Experience with CAD software, and analytical and simulation tools desired Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Clear written communication and technical writing skills Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to synthesize and present technical information Additional Information Applicants are encouraged to submit a CV with publications (feel free to include publications that are in review or pending).
