Travel RRT in Cleveland, OH

A Registered Respiratory Therapist with pediatric expertise is needed to provide advanced respiratory care in a travel assignment based in Cleveland, OH. This position requires comprehensive skills in medicated aerosol therapy, airway clearance, airway management, and high-risk delivery procedures, along with proficiency in blood gas sampling and respiratory monitoring techniques.


Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medicated aerosol therapies using small volume nebulizers, vibrating mesh nebulizers, MDIs, DPIs, and related devices.
• Perform airway clearance therapies including clapping, vibration, PEP, oscillatory PEP, hyperinflation, and high-frequency chest wall oscillation.
• Manage airway suctioning, tracheostomy care, manual ventilation, CPAP/BiPAP/NIMV, and ventilator system checks.
• Participate in high-risk neonatal respiratory care including surfactant administration, NRP protocol adherence, T-piece ventilation, and intubation.
• Conduct blood gas sampling, analysis, and interpretation accurately.
• Utilize humidity therapy devices such as heated humidity masks, trach collars, and HMEs.
• Follow clinical practice guidelines for asthma, cystic fibrosis, respiratory distress syndrome, acute chest syndrome, and other pulmonary conditions.
• Monitor patients using pulse oximetry, capnography, ventilator graphics, and conduct spontaneous breathing trials.
• Safely transport patients with assisted ventilation and operate nitric oxide therapy equipment.
• Maintain and clean respiratory therapy equipment per protocol.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Proven pediatric respiratory therapy experience.
• Strong knowledge of advanced respiratory modalities and protocols.
• Ability to interpret blood gases and ventilator parameters.
• Skilled in respiratory equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
