About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: PALS, TNCC preferred Description: This position requires experience in an intensive care setting. The unit operates with an average daily census of around 16-17 patients. Typical patient diagnoses include post cath lab cases and patients requiring balloon pumps. Open heart surgeries are not performed in this unit. All nursing staff will be expected to manage various acuity levels. The staffing ratio is generally 1:1-2 for ICU cases and 1:3 for stepdown. A designated charge nurse is available 24/7 to manage operations and respond to rapid responses and codes. There is no specific IV team; nursing staff will handle IV management with support from respiratory therapy and pharmacy. Night shifts are scheduled on a rotating basis, with a requirement for every other weekend. Holiday scheduling is managed to minimize traveler holiday assignments. Nursing staff are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or provide appropriate exemption documentation. Compliance with dress code and grooming standards, including covering tattoos and maintaining natural hair color, is required. Nursing staff will operate within a focused framework to prioritize patient care and continuity.
