Civil Litigation ParalegalBlock LLP is looking for an experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal to join our Habitability Department.This role will support plaintiff-side cases involving unsafe housing conditions, landlord negligence, tenant harassment, wrongful eviction, and other housing-related disputes. These values guide how we support our clients, collaborate with one another, and approach our work every day.What You'll DoSupport attorneys through all stages of plaintiff-side litigationAssist with habitability, tenant-rights, landlord-tenant, and housing-related casesDraft and prepare pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, correspondence, and other legal documentsAssist with discovery requests, responses, document review, and document productionFile legal documents with the court and track filing deadlinesMaintain litigation calendars and help ensure deadlines are metOrganize and update case files, records, evidence, and client documentsGather and review documents such as photos, inspection reports, repair requests, leases, notices, medical records, and other supporting evidenceCommunicate with clients to gather information, documentation, and case updatesCoordinate with attorneys, clients, experts, inspectors, contractors, medical providers, opposing counsel, and court personnelPrepare materials for hearings, mediations, depositions, arbitrations, and trialAssist with trial preparation, including exhibits, binders, witness information, and case materialsMaintain accurate case notes and updates in the firm's case management systemProvide professional, compassionate communication to clients throughout the litigation processAssist with additional litigation and administrative tasks as needed
