About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current Med Surg/Telemetry experience required. License: Valid RN License for Vermont or Compact. Certifications: Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required. Must-Have: Charge experience required. Progressive Care Unit/PCU experience strongly required. Description: This is an adaptive acuity unit. On occasion, travelers will be asked to provide PCU care (3:1 ratio). This care is non-negotiable and may not be refused. Drip experience is required, including experience with insulin drips, esmolol drips, and sodium drips. Charge experience is required for this need. Do not submit a traveler without charge experience or who will not work charge. Requests for time off during the course of this assignment must be noted and verified at submission. Requests for time off made after submission or during the interview will not be approved. No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted, with fewer days being preferable. Travelers uploaded to this position must include their availability and ensure that voicemail is set up on their phones. Travelers without voicemail set up when contacted will be redirected. All travelers must be willing to float to any inpatient unit within their scope of practice. Minimum of 3 months of previous travel experience is required, with more experience preferred. Travelers must have their own vehicle for this assignment. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission. Requests made after the offer may lead to a rescinded offer. Profile requirements include work history and skills checklists for Progressive Care Unit, Medical Surgical, and Telemetry. A signed supervisory reference from within the past two years of employment is required.
