San Francisco, CA 94105, USA Description Our Perkins&Will San Francisco Studio is growing, and we are looking for highly motivated individuals excited to help us grow our practice. We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Designer III to join a highly collaborative and dynamic design team with opportunities for growth. The ideal individual will have 5-8+ years of experience and be a self-starter with strong project architect skills. Professionals with experience in highly technical projects and a strong interest in healthcare are welcome to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Demonstrates advanced knowledge of project complexity to proactively contribute to the overall success of the team by adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, execution, and living design. Develops creative and innovative design ideas, concepts, and solutions while participating as an integral member of the design team. Coordinatesdrawings for schematic design, design development, and construction documents. Analyzes product research and identifies material selections. Takes an active role in crafting client and non-client design presentation sand prepares corresponding materials. Implements a creative approach to complete tasks and responsibilities on projects, within the scope of scheduleand budget,in an organized, timely, and consistent way. Reviewswork for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance in accordance with the Project Delivery Manual. Supports growth of others. Expresses curiosity about the world of design and the industry at large. Takes increasing ownership on tasks within project teams and studio activities. Participates in design reviews, charettes and pin-ups. Keeps open and proactive communication with all and is inspiring within team and designated team leader. Coordinates effectivelywith partners and consultants. SOFTWARE

Advanced knowledge of 2D/3D production software Advanced Revit Conceptual modeling tools such as Rhino and Grasshopper Visualization tools such as Enscape and VRay Physical modeling tools such as 3D Printing and Laser cutting Presentation tools such as InDesign and Photoshop Environmental Analysis software such Ladybug and Climate Studio

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in architecture or related discipline required LEED GA within 6 months of hire 5-8+ years of experience Professional Accreditation in one area of Living Design that interests you: LEED AP with Specialty, BREEAM AP, WELL AP, SITES AP, Passive House Institute Certified Passive House Consultant/Designer CPHC/CPHD, or ILFI Living Future Accreditation Preparing for ARE and active involvement in AXP LEED GA within 6 months of hire Proficiencies in BIM, building codes, site analysis, preliminary design studies, contract documents, field measurements, life safety requirements, specifications and sketching Knowledge of construction contract administration Qualified and interested candidates should submit a cover letter, resume and work samples (should be a compact, representative sample of your work, no larger than 4MB).
