About the Position

Job Title: Behavioral Health Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Geriatric Psychiatry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 12 months of permanent behavioral health experience in a short-term acute care hospital (non-psychiatric facility) required. License: Permanent Ohio license or compact license required. Certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS required. Must-Have: One recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required to qualify for submission. Active certifications must be in hand at the time of submission. Description: Candidate must have experience in milieu management, medication management, and documentation. Intermediate skills in patient assessment are essential. Ability to provide interdisciplinary support in care is necessary. Candidate should adhere to all facility requirements and compliance standards. A negative 10-panel drug screen, including nicotine, is required within 12 months of start. Background checks of any kind will be reviewed, and any open cases may disqualify the candidate. All travelers must meet specific health requirements before employment. This position may include hands-on competencies relevant to nursing education. Candidates must complete all pre-start requirements as necessary for the role. Candidates with any license hits will not be accepted. Exemption from nicotine-free facility requirements is temporary and will be honored until further notice for specific job roles.
