IT Project Manager - Healthcare

Job Summary:

The Project Manager will lead and coordinate digital health projects focused on healthcare delivery transformation through information and communication technology. This full-time remote role (within Canada) requires managing IT projects in healthcare, ensuring effective implementation of software solutions, and facilitating organizational change to support digital business transformation across the provincial health sector. Responsibilities:

• Manage healthcare IT projects, including planning, execution, and reporting progress to steering committees.
• Coordinate internal delivery teams, vendor partners, and customer stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
• Oversee implementation and migration to Microsoft M365 and Exchange Online in large acute care or public sector environments.
• Lead or coordinate testing of M365 products and services, including transition from on-premise mail services.
• Develop and execute organizational change management strategies using structured methodologies like PROSCI.
• Ensure compliance with Personal Health Information Act (PHIA) requirements when applicable.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Valid PROSCI (ADKAR) Organizational Change Management certification.
• 10+ years managing IT projects in healthcare environments with demonstrated experience.
• 7+ years coordinating delivery staff, vendors, and stakeholders in digital business transformation projects.
• 5+ years implementing or migrating to Microsoft M365 and Exchange Online in healthcare or public sector.
• 5+ years testing or coordinating testing of M365 products, including healthcare settings.
• 5+ years applying structured change management methodologies such as PROSCI.
• Valid PRINCE2 Foundation or Practitioner certification.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience reporting to project steering committees and ensuring safe software implementation in clinical environments.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare clinical and business staff for new technology solutions.
• Proven track record of delivering digital transformation projects in healthcare settings with detailed project examples.

Special Considerations:

• Services must be performed remotely within Canada; remote work outside Canada is not permitted.
• May require working additional hours beyond 7.75 hours per business day, not exceeding 10% of total hours.
• Compliance with Personal Health Information (PHI) and Personal Health Information Act (PHIA) regulations as applicable.

Scheduling:

• Full-time position with an expected 7.75 hours per business day based on Central Time.
• Project duration from October 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027, with an optional extension until June 30, 2027.
• Total of 122 working days and approximately 945.5 hours planned.
