Associate Scientist III, Parenteral Drug Product Development

Biogen seeks an Associate Scientist III to develop parenteral formulations and drug product manufacturing processes for its pipeline. The role involves laboratory experimentation, process development, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration within a matrix environment in Cambridge, MA.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute laboratory experiments for formulation development, product characterization, and process evaluation
• Independently manage assigned development activities under senior scientist guidance on complex initiatives
• Prepare formulations, conduct studies, analyze data, and communicate experimental findings to project teams
• Author development protocols, technical reports, and documentation supporting regulatory CMC submissions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across analytical, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory functions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field
• 0-2 years relevant pharmaceutical or biotechnology laboratory experience, or Master's degree with any experience
• Experience with formulation development for sterile parenteral drug products
• Proficiency in laboratory experimentation, data analysis, and Good Documentation Practices
• Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and analytical characterization techniques
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation: $77,000-$100,250 base
