- Set up and operate CNC machines including 4-axis mills and plasma tables
- Set up and operate manual machines including lathes and 3-axis mills
- Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds based on work instructions
- Perform complex setups requiring multiple fixtures and work holding strategies
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as callipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensions
- Review and validate blueprints to ensure they are complete and contain all information needed for manufacturing
- Create efficient and accurate CNC Programs from provided CAD files
- Perform modifications and retrofits to existing parts & tools.
- Support tool and test engineers during tooling fabrication, assembly, functional and testing
- Interface with internal and external machine/fabrication shops.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Experience with CNC and manual machine setup: loading tools, setting offsets, mounting fixturing
- Proficiency with CAD software (Inventor preferred)
- Proficiency with CNC programming (Inventor CAM preferred)
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
- Must be able to understand schematics and mechanical drawings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interface with various cultures and at all levels of the organization.
- Must be available to work occasional weekends and nights as required in support of critical project milestones.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
- Must pass a background check
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in machining, manufacturing, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Mechanical/Dimensional inspections.
- Must be able to lift loads up to 50 lbs.
