Overview Koniag Government Services (KGS) is an Alaska Native‑owned corporation seeking a Crime Gun Intelligence Specialist LevelII to support federal law‑enforcement operations in Washington, DC. The role requires obtaining and maintaining a U.S. Government Security Clearance. Responsibilities Intelligence Analysis: provide gun intelligence analytics, conduct NIBIN hit analysis, create investigative link charts, analyze firearms trafficking data, generate actionable intelligence, support trace analysis, and compile investigative leads. Technical Operations: process IBIS evidence entries, perform correlation reviews, conduct firearms identification, execute e‑Trace operations, manage NESS data entry, handle/test firearms (if approved), and provide IBIS training (if NAT certified). Analytical Support: gather crime reports, analyze trace data, monitor trafficking trends, process obliterated serial numbers, generate intelligence reports, maintain data accuracy, and support investigations. Requirements Firearms knowledge; strong analytical abilities; intelligence‑gathering expertise; project‑management and documentation skills; technical aptitude; excellent communication; problem‑solving; attention to detail; safety consciousness; team collaboration; and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance. Desired Skills and Competencies Advanced law‑enforcement experience; NIBIN/IBIS expertise; e‑TraceLink analysis; criminal‑intelligence background; firearms‑trafficking knowledge; training certification; federal‑system experience; statistical analysis; technical writing; investigation support; RMS systems; project coordination; compliance knowledge; data visualization; and safety‑protocol knowledge. Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum three years of law‑enforcement experience. Background in firearms analysis and intelligence.
