Materials Management Clerk (Surgical Services- Hospital) Job Description Under direct supervision, responsible for receiving, sorting, inspecting, and delivering incoming material shipments within a stockroom, warehouse, receiving or mail center. Responsibilities Inspects materials and ensures shipment is received as ordered. Uses shipping documents, bills of lading, packing slips, delivery tickets, invoices, and department order forms to conduct shipment inspections and maintain stockroom inventories. Processes and sorts materials for delivery to recipients or distribution point. Completes delivery of materials and orders to customers, obtaining signatures as required. Picks up outbound materials and processes utilizing appropriate shipping method. Assists customers with shipment and order inquiries. Resolves shipment issues as required and refers complex issues to higher levels. Performs all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge in logistics, warehouse, or other related fields. Ability to work independently with strong attention to accuracy and detail. Ability to understand and act on written instructions. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Education: High School Diploma/GED required Required Skills One (1) year of related material handling experience is required.
