Job Description

Medical Assistant (MA)

Location: Greenfield, IN 46140
Duration: 9 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Pay Rate: $24/hour

Job Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant will support both front-office and back-office operations, including:

Greeting and rooming patients
Scheduling appointments
Answering phones and assisting patients
Taking and documenting vital signs
Drawing blood and performing venipuncture
Administering vaccines
Performing EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
Providing additional clinical support as needed
Maintaining a collaborative relationship with the center's staff
Supporting health education and outreach activities
Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience , in addition to externship experience
2–3 years of experience preferred
Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
Phlebotomy/Venipuncture experience required
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong computer skills
Ability to work effectively in both front-office and back-office environments
Interest in health education, patient outreach, and making a positive difference in the community
