Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Morgantown, WV | NICU / PICU (Pediatric & Neonatal Inpatient)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Onsite | Preference scheduling available with a commitment of 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (weekends include Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver all aspects of respiratory care across NICU and PICU settings, managing an expected caseload of 20–25 treatments per day
• Operate and manage ventilators including Hamilton and Servo platforms , as well as NAVA ventilation mode
• Perform aerogen, Volara, cough assist, IPV, and high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) therapy using Fisher Paykel equipment
• Manage BiPAP therapy using Respironics and Hamilton equipment
• Conduct airway management and assist with intubation procedures (assist only — independent intubation not required)
• Perform intrahospital transport of pediatric and neonatal patients

Required Qualifications

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential required; CRT is not accepted
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a PICU and/or a Level 4 or greater NICU
• Experience with pediatric and neonatal patient populations
• Ability to commit to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with Hamilton and Servo ventilators in a high-acuity pediatric or neonatal setting
• Experience with NAVA ventilation and advanced airway management techniques
• Comfort working within a high-volume department staffed with approximately 8 RTs per shift
