Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a Level 4 trauma facility located in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin. This role involves providing acute care for a diverse patient population, including post-surgical cases, CVA, trauma, and more. The position features night shifts and a weekend rotation, with a strong emphasis on airway management, cardiac drips, and emergency protocols, supporting a busy ER environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC certifications; 2 years of emergency room nursing experience; graduation from an accredited nursing program; current nursing license; candidates must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with airway management and rapid sequence intubation (RSI), US-guided IV training, and knowledge of trauma and STEMI protocols; familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC certifications preferred
• Float: No
• Additional Information:
  • The ER is a 17 exam room and 4-bed observation unit, handling a broad spectrum of emergency cases including trauma, stroke, sepsis, and obstetrics.
  • Support staff includes ED techs, LPNs, hospitalist physicians, RTs, OT/PT/ST services, and Resource Nurses.
  • Support services like phlebotomy, US-guided IV, and hospital resources are available.
  • Orientation will be provided through NEO, with two 12-hour shifts on the unit.
  • Parking is free, and scrub color is navy blue.
