It’s located in one of the world’s safest and most economically vibrant communities and is Orange County’s second-largest employer, contributing $7 billion annually to the local economy and $8 billion statewide.To learn more about UC Irvine, visit As one of the largest academic departments of the School of Medicine at UC Irvine, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is separated into specific clinical divisions including the major areas of Complex Family Planning, General Obstetrics and Gynecology, Gynecologic Oncology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Obstetric-Gynecologic Hospitalists, and Urogynecology to provide a full range of clinical services including well-woman care, family planning, routine and high‑risk pregnancy management, laparoscopic and robotic surgery, pelvic floor medicine, and complex treatment of gynecologic cancer. In addition, the department offers a wide array of continuing medical education programs addressing obstetric and gynecologic topics, as well as generating cutting edge, innovative research. Responsibilities Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of analytical practices, policies and procedures; researches, analyzes and develops solutions to a wide range of issues. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Primarily deals with policies, programs and proposals which are complex in nature and diverse in scope. Develops new programs, policies or procedures for possible implementation. Under the general direction of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the Project Operation Manager serves as the primary executive‑level partner to the CAO, providing high‑level administrative leadership, strategic coordination, and decision‑making support. This position, in conjunction with the CAO, oversees both the daily operations and long‑range priorities of the department. Qualifications Required: Knowledge of common organization- or research‑specific and other computer application programs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality. Analytical / problem‑solving skills. Strong skills in analyzing, researching and synthesizing large amounts of data for preparing sound and relevant proposals / analyses. Ability to multi‑task with demanding timeframes. Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training 3-5 years of experience Preferred: Strong policy analysis techniques.
