Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An exciting contract opportunity is available for three Occupational Therapists to support students in a dynamic educational environment near Burnsville, MN. This role involves working across multiple education centers and offers both full-time and long-term substitute positions. The assignment begins September 8, 2026, and extends through June 10, 2027, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week.
Preferred Profile and Experience:
- Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience in a school-based OT setting is highly valued
- Strong understanding of working with special education or setting 4 students
- Comfortable managing a caseload of 20-40 students
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Ability to adapt to the unique demands of different educational settings
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Conduct assessments and develop or update treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers and special education teams to support student needs
- Deliver therapy in a setting that primarily serves students with higher support needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance records
- Serve as a resource for school staff regarding sensory and motor development
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings as needed
