Direct Support Worker

About the Role:

Jones Unique Group Home in Plantation, FL is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Worker to join our caring team.
We currently have weekend overnight shifts from 7pm - 7am, (Sat & Sun) At our Dania Beach location . We also have a LSD1 (companion) position at our Plantation location M-F 8am - 2pm .

Responsibilities:

Provide direct care and daily living support to residents in a group home setting
Assist individuals with personal hygiene, grooming, and daily self-care routines
Support residents with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and nutrition monitoring
Implement individualized support plans and document progress accurately
Facilitate community outings, recreational activities, and social engagement
Administer medications and monitor health conditions per established protocols
Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment for all residents
Assist clients with their goals.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required
Current or Recent experience in direct support, caregiving, in a APD Group Home setting is required.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass a background screening and drug test
Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented work ethic
Please have all APD required certifications available for review.
