Laborer

Peninsula Sanitation , a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Laborer/Operator to join the team at our transfer station in Ilwaco, WA!

Monday through Saturday 8am-5pm. The pay for this position is $21.82 - $24.50/hour, depending on experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manual labor including paper picking and keeping site clean and presentable.

• Some forklift/backhoe operating experience is preferred

• Traffic management.

• Must have good customer service skills

• Perform yard work including cutting weeds.

• Perform general office maintenance and repairs including painting and janitorial work.

• Working outside in all weather conditions.

• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• Work involves constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, bio hazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises

• Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.

• Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
