Process Engineer

We're looking for a Process Engineer to support gear machining manufacturing line launch activities for a leading automotive client. This role focuses on delivering safe, high-quality, and efficient processes while collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to ensure successful production outcomes. Details Location: Sterling Heights, MI (Onsite) Shift Time: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM Pay Rate: $46/hr with benefits Responsibilities Support manufacturing process engineering for gear machining operations Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity Complete PPAP and quality launch documentation Establish and improve manufacturing processes using engineering principles Develop and execute corrective action plans for internal and supplier issues Lead process audits and ensure compliance with powertrain guidelines Conduct ergonomic evaluations and implement improvements Create process documentation, work instructions, and quality methods Lead lean manufacturing and variability reduction initiatives Identify throughput constraints and drive root-cause improvements Ensure compliance with plant, corporate, environmental, and government standards Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineeringExperience with Lean Manufacturing, manufacturing processes, and process improvement Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Gear machining or powertrain experience (milling, grinding, heat treat, etc.) Experience with Six Sigma, CAPA, and quality tools (Minitab, QDAS) Knowledge of 8D, 5 Whys, DMAIC, DFSS methodologies #J-18808-Ljbffr EPITEC
