Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and screenings to evaluate the mental health needs of students, helping in creating individualized treatment plans. \n
- Provide short-term individual counseling sessions for students experiencing various challenges, from anxiety and depression to more complex mental health issues. \n
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and workshops designed to promote personal development, emotional intelligence, and peer support. \n
- Collaborate with department heads, academic advisors, and student organizations to improve overall support systems and integrate mental health awareness into academic life. \n
- Engage in mental health outreach programs, planning and implementing campaigns or events to increase awareness and promote wellness across campus. \n
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with ethical guidelines and state regulations, ensuring student privacy. \n

Qualifications\n- \n
- An active clinical license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or PsyD. \n
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required. \n
- A solid understanding of the mental health challenges faced by college-aged students, including stress, anxiety, and identity issues. \n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to build relationships with students, faculty, and staff effectively. \n
- An ability to implement evidence-based practices and brief therapy models tailored for the educational setting. \n
Experience working within a school or university counseling center is highly valued. Familiarity with collaborative models of care, crisis intervention strategies, and group therapy modalities will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Additionally, experience with community engagement activities related to mental health is beneficial.
