Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (0700–1930) | 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week | Every other weekend required | Holiday coverage required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a primary focus on gynecological and post-operative surgical patients
• Adapt to varying patient populations including bariatric and ENT post-operative cases as census demands
• Manage patient assignments within a nurse-to-patient ratio that varies from 1:3 to 1:6 depending on census
• Float to ICU or Medical Surgical units as needed to fulfill appropriate med/surg assignments
• Demonstrate flexibility in care delivery across a range of GYN and surgical patient types

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as required
• Willingness and ability to float to ICU or Medical Surgical units when needed
• Flexibility to care for a varied and evolving surgical and gynecological patient population

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience preferred
• Prior experience with gynecological, bariatric, or ENT post-operative patient populations
• Comfort working in a small unit environment with variable census and patient acuity
