The Herd Lending is growing, and we are looking for experienced Mortgage Loan Officers who want to build a strong business while helping borrowers make confident financial decisions. We believe every borrower has a unique story. Our Loan Officers provide personalized guidance, thoughtful mortgage strategies, and attentive service from the first conversation through closing. We combine modern technology, deep product knowledge, transparent communication, and access to the national wholesale market to find financing that fits each borrower’s needs. The Herd Lending is currently licensed in Florida, Texas, Georgia, and Virginia (with more States coming!). The Opportunity As a Mortgage Loan Officer with The Herd Lending, you will develop relationships, guide borrowers through the mortgage process, and structure financing solutions for a wide range of needs. This is a fully remote opportunity for an experienced, motivated professional who values independence, responsiveness, accuracy, and excellent client service. You will have the opportunity to serve homebuyers, homeowners, self-employed borrowers, veterans, and real estate investors with a broad selection of mortgage products. What You Will Do Build and maintain relationships with borrowers, real estate professionals, builders, financial professionals, and referral partners Speak with prospective borrowers to understand their goals, income, credit, assets, and property needs Educate clients on available mortgage products, rates, costs, timelines, and qualification requirements Recommend loan solutions that align with each borrower’s financial situation and long term goals Guide borrowers through application, documentation, preapproval, processing, underwriting, and closing Review loan files carefully and identify possible challenges early in the process Communicate clearly and consistently with borrowers, referral partners, processors, underwriters, and other parties Maintain an active pipeline and follow up promptly with new leads, past clients, and referral sources Develop new business through networking, relationship building, referrals, and personal marketing Follow all federal, state, company, and industry requirements What We Are Looking For Active NMLS registration and all licenses required for the states in which you originate A proven ability to generate business and build lasting referral relationships Strong knowledge of mortgage products, guidelines, documentation, and lending regulations Confidence working with both traditional and complex borrower scenarios Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through A client-focused approach and a commitment to honest guidance Comfort working independently in a fully remote environment Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage several active files at once Experience with wholesale mortgage lending is preferred Why Join The Herd Lending Work fully remotely Get paid 225 basis points on your loans!
