Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Part Time Plymouth, Massachusetts Job Details Job ID: 5706594 Application Deadline: Posted until filled Posted: May 12, 2026 4:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Aug 30, 2026 Position Type: Part-Time Salary: $30,000 to $53,532 Per Year Job Description Pilgrim Area Collaborative is a public educational collaborative that serves students with a wide range of disabilities from primary through post‑secondary levels from all over the South Shore. We have an anticipated opening for a Speech Language Pathologist for the 2026‑27 School Year. This is a part‑time position of approximately 20 hours per week, with optional ESY/Summer Program. The successful candidate must hold appropriate Massachusetts certification in content area and have experience working with students dealing with social‑emotional disabilities and/or high functioning autism spectrum disorder. Performance Responsibilities Participate as a member of the evaluation team by performing assessments, making recommendations through written reports, and writing appropriate sections of students’ educational plans. Act as a consultant to school personnel and parents, sharing knowledge and information related to the area of expertise as needed. Serve as a liaison between community providers (e.g., medical personnel, private therapists) and school personnel as appropriate. Maintain communication with parents regarding student performance and progress as needed. Provide direct service for an assigned caseload, as outlined on students’ educational plans. Written preparation for therapy sessions may be requested by Director. Maintain thorough and ongoing records of individual student performance and progress. Evaluate student progress on a regular basis. Work cooperatively in an interdisciplinary team approach in planning and implementing student services. Assist in the selection of books, equipment, and other instructional materials. Develop and maintain a therapy environment conducive to effective learning within the limits of available resources, including implementation of appropriate systems of behavior management. Take all necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and board policy. Attend and participate in faculty meetings. Engage in ongoing professional growth through an ongoing program of reading, workshops, seminars, conferences, and/or advanced coursework at institutions of higher learning. Perform any other duties required to fulfill the responsibilities of a therapist of students with special needs.
