An immediate opening is available for an Experienced Part-Time or Locum Tenens CRNA to provide completely independent anesthesia care for adult dentistry cases. • Case Scope: Adult dentistry sedation.
• Volume: Highly manageable 2-5 cases per day.
• Autonomy: 100% Independent practice (No supervision).
• Schedule: Part-time or Locum Tenens; daytime hours only with no call or nights.

Responsibilities

• Independently administer and manage sedation/anesthesia care for adult dental and oral surgery patients.
• Conduct focused pre-operative patient assessments and design individualized anesthetic plans.
• Monitor vital signs and maintain appropriate depth of sedation to ensure absolute patient safety and optimal working conditions for the dentist.
• Oversee post-sedation recovery and manage patient discharge criteria.
• Maintain complete and accurate electronic anesthesia records.
• Collaborate seamlessly with the dental and clinical assisting team to maintain a smooth daily schedule.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) and CRNA in the State of North Carolina.
• National certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists ( NBCRNA ).
• Experience Requirement: Proven track record of clinical autonomy; experienced CRNAs only . Previous experience in office-based dental sedation or ambulatory surgical centers is highly preferred.
• Strong independent decision-making skills and excellent clinical judgment.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Malpractice Requirement: The CRNA must provide and maintain their own malpractice insurance (standard 1099 protocol).
