Maintenance Manager

We, at Leggett & Platt Flooring Products, are searching for a Maintenance Manager to oversee our Maintenanceteam to help support our Carpet Underlay business. If you join our team, your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.As a Maintenance Manager, you will have the opportunity to assist and plan projects that will improve current processes in the manufacturing of carpet underlay. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by ensuring that our facility’s machines are operating safely and efficiently. The team you will be overseeing and working with collaborates to ensure that projects are completed in a timely manner, and values great workmanship.So, what will you be doing as a Maintenance Manager?Lead, coach, and develop an established maintenance team, building a culture of accountability, safety, and excellenceOversee all maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance programsDrive improvements in equipment reliability, uptime, and operational efficiencyPlan and execute maintenance and capital projects that enhance manufacturing processesEnsure timely completion of work orders and maintenance schedulesPartner cross-functionally with production and engineering teams to solve complex equipment challengesChampion safety, environmental, quality, and continuous improvement initiativesTo be successful in this role, you will need:10+ years of industrial maintenance experienceProven experience leading and managing maintenance teamsStrong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using power tools (grinders, drills, saws, drill press)Solid experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, sprockets, and chainsAbility to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsAbility to interpret manuals, schematics, and blueprintsExperience operating or willingness to become certified on lift trucks, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts (train-the-trainer certification a plus)Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindsetCommitment to safety and dependable attendanceMust supply own toolsFlexibility to support business needs, including occasional SaturdaysWorking knowledge of CMMSFunctional knowledge of utilities – boilers, air compressors, air dryers, and lightingKnowledge of PLC systems, including troubleshooting and modificationsThings We Consider a Plus:Experience operating lift trucks, scissor lifts, or aerial liftsElectrical certificationWelding experienceWhat to Do NextNow that you have had a chance to learn more about us, what are you waiting for!
