Portfolio Monitoring Analysts support investment and portfolio teams by tracking holdings, monitoring exposures, and ensuring the integrity of portfolio data. This role combines quantitative analysis, reporting, and operational oversight to provide real-time insight into portfolio positions, performance, and risk metrics.
These positions involve close collaboration with portfolio managers, operations, risk, and accounting teams to ensure accurate monitoring, timely reporting, and adherence to investment guidelines.
Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor portfolio positions, exposures, and market values across multiple asset classes
Validate portfolio data and reconcile discrepancies between trading, operations, and accounting systems
Track performance, P&L, and risk metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and models to provide portfolio insights and alerts
Identify anomalies, unusual activity, or breaches of investment guidelines
Support regulatory, investor, and internal reporting requirements
Assist in ad-hoc analysis and special projects for portfolio teams or senior management
Collaborate with operations, risk, and accounting teams to ensure smooth portfolio monitoring and reporting processes
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field
Knowledge of portfolio management, investment instruments, and financial markets
Experience or coursework in portfolio monitoring, risk management, or investment operations
Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail
Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Python, R, SQL, or VBA is a plus
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, collaborative environments
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Strong interest in portfolio analytics, risk monitoring, and investment operations
