Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Western North Carolina

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Med-Surg unit schedule with 4-6 RNs per shift. Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5. Six weekend days required per schedule period. Floating to other med-surg units is rare.

Highlights:

• Oncology and Women's Surgical unit with 24 beds and a collaborative team of 42 staff members
• Day shift includes 1 Charge Nurse, 4-6 RNs, 2 CNAs, and 1 Unit Coordinator; Night shift includes 1 Charge Nurse, 4-6 RNs, and 2 CNAs
• EMR: Cerner
• Standard unit equipment with occasional specialized procedures including pelvic exams, echo, and thoracentesis
• Supportive environment ideal for team players who are eager to learn and grow
• Minimal on-call requirements

Requirements:

• Active RN license in North Carolina (or eligible for multi-state compact)
• Current BLS certification required
• Chemo Certification preferred (candidates with this credential will be prioritized)
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to learn
• Ability to manage med-surg patient populations with oncology and surgical case mix
