A great EnergiPersonnel client in Odessa is looking for an experienced Crane Mechanic to join their team. This position is ideal for a skilled mechanic who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing heavy equipment, and keeping specialized vehicles operating safely and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled services.
• Repair diesel engines, fuel systems, cooling systems, and exhaust systems.
• Diagnose and repair emissions systems, including DPF, SCR, EGR, and NOx systems.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic cylinders, pumps, valves, hoses, and related components.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems, wiring, lighting, charging systems, and starting systems.
• Repair air brake systems, ABS systems, suspension, steering, and driveline components.
• Perform transmission, clutch, differential, and axle repairs.
• Repair and service PTO systems and hydraulic-driven equipment.
• Perform air conditioning diagnosis and repair.
• Repair cranes, boom trucks, bucket trucks, vacuum trucks, and other specialty equipment. Previous crane experience is preferred but not required.
• Complete service calls at customer locations when assigned.
• Accurately document diagnostics, repairs completed, labor hours, and parts used.
• Properly use diagnostic software, scan tools, and shop equipment.
• Communicate repair recommendations, findings, and progress with management.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

• Previous experience repairing diesel trucks, heavy equipment, cranes, or specialty vehicles is preferred.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with diagnostic software and scan tools.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, emissions systems, air brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently and complete repairs accurately.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to complete service calls and work in both shop and field environments.
• Must be dependable, safety-minded, and willing to learn.
