Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, utilizing standardized evaluation tools and clinical interviews. \n
- Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that reflect their specific challenges, goals, and preferences, ensuring a client-centered approach to therapy. \n
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address mood disorders effectively. \n
- Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, facilitating supportive discussions about treatment options and promoting self-care strategies for optimal mental health. \n
- Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to enhance therapeutic outcomes and address emerging concerns. \n
- Engage in collaboration with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure integrated treatment plans that encompass both therapeutic and pharmacological interventions. \n
- Advance your knowledge through continual learning, keeping abreast of the latest research and developments in the field of mental health, particularly regarding mood disorders. \n
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation of therapy sessions, adhering to ethical standards and legal requirements. \n
- Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to contribute to a cohesive team environment focused on best practices and client healing. \n
- Actively advocate for clients to diminish the stigma associated with mood disorders and uphold their rights to appropriate mental health care. \n
Your primary focus will be on supporting individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety-related conditions, and other emotional disturbances. You will foster therapeutic relationships with a diverse clientele, understanding the unique cultural and individual factors that influence their experiences and responses to therapy.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited university. \n
- Possession of a current and valid New York state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). \n
- Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities specifically geared towards mood disorders, including CBT and DBT. \n
- Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, enabling effective collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers. \n
- A proven track record reflecting positive outcomes in the treatment of mood disorders. \n
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for the establishment of trust and rapport with clients from varied backgrounds. \n

- A minimum of three years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, preferably with a focus on mood disorders. \n
