Laboratory Technician

Requirements:

At least 2 years of laboratory experience.

Familiarity with Meditech preferred.

ASCP certification preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Match computer orders with specimen labels, sort specimens, and check deliveries.

Maintain quality results by running standards and controls.

Verify equipment functionality with routine maintenance.

Assist in staff training as a technical resource.

Alert supervisory personnel of any abnormal patient conditions.

Conduct tests to identify the presence or number of drugs in patient samples.

Operate chemistry equipment to provide diagnostic test results.

Perform blood typing, antibody screening, and compatibility testing.

Contribute to a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
