Senior Program Manager HCM

Position DescriptionConnect Centric is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead enterprise Human Capital Management (HCM) initiatives for our client, with a primary focus on UKG and Workday. You will oversee multiple HCM workstreams, connecting implementation plans, platform enhancements, integrations, reporting, governance, and operational readiness across the program.

This role requires direct experience supporting both UKG and Workday initiatives.

What You Will Do

• Lead complex, cross-functional HCM programs and projects involving UKG, Workday, and related workforce management capabilities.
• Develop and manage integrated program plans, implementation roadmaps, schedules, milestones, budgets, dependencies, risks, and issues across HCM workstreams.
• Facilitate program governance and decision forums; prepare decision materials, document decisions, track actions, and provide status updates to senior leaders.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders, vendors, and workstream project managers to clarify scope, align priorities, resolve risks and issues, and maintain delivery momentum.
• Coordinate requirements, configuration decisions, business workflows, integrations, data validation, testing, and implementation readiness for UKG and Workday initiatives.
• Oversee cutover coordination, operational transition planning, and post-implementation stabilization across the HCM program.
• Prepare executive reports, dashboards, decision logs, and risk, assumption, issue, and dependency (RAID) logs; communicate delivery progress, tradeoffs, decisions, and adoption impacts.
• Support HCM process improvement, change management, stakeholder readiness, training coordination, and adoption planning.
• Develop and maintain program standards, templates, governance routines, tools, and delivery methodologies that improve consistency and readiness.
• Assess workforce processes, platform issues, data considerations, vendor capabilities, and platform roadmaps; recommend practical solutions to complex HCM challenges.
• Ensure work products meet business needs, quality expectations, compliance requirements, data integrity standards, configuration expectations, and delivery commitments.
• Balance competing HCM programs, platform enhancements, implementation activities, and stakeholder needs.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least eight years of experience in program management, project management, business analysis, technology delivery, or a related field, including demonstrated experience supporting enterprise HCM platforms.
• Strong experience supporting both UKG and Workday initiatives, including implementation planning, enhancements, requirements definition, configuration coordination, business process alignment, and integration coordination.
• Experience coordinating HCM testing, data validation, security and access considerations, reporting, stakeholder readiness, training support, adoption, issue resolution, and post-implementation stabilization.
• Hands-on experience using UKG and Workday to support program delivery, platform reporting, issue tracking, stakeholder communications, governance, testing coordination, cutover planning, and executive decision support.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex HCM programs or projects involving HR, payroll, finance, operations, technology teams, vendors, and senior leaders.
• Working knowledge of core HR, payroll, time and attendance, absence management, benefits, talent, workforce scheduling, reporting, and employee self-service processes.
• Strong understanding of scope, schedule, budget, risk, issue, dependency, resource, change, benefits, and stakeholder management.
• Experience supporting Agile or other delivery methodologies in enterprise platform, ERP, HRIS, payroll, workforce management, or HCM environments.
• Experience preparing and presenting executive reports, dashboards, status updates, decision materials, risk summaries, and implementation readiness updates.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PgMP, SAFe, Agile, Scrum, Prosci, ITIL, Workday, UKG, HRIS, or a similar certification.

Position Details

• Position Type: Full-time W-2 employment. Independent contractor or 1099 arrangements are not available for this position.
• Location: Washington D.C.
• This position is hybrid (2x per week)
• Pay Rate: $130K - $140K
