This full-time contract role meets the needs of a school requiring two dedicated individuals to provide daily support for students with Level 3 Autism. Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional, especially supporting students with significant or intensive needs
- Comfortable and competent working with Level 3 Autism
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and related service providers
- Ability to remain patient, consistent, and adaptable in challenging situations
- Reliable attendance and punctuality for a Monday through Friday schedule
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on support and supervision to students in the classroom and throughout the school day
- Assist in carrying out individualized education and behavioral plans in close collaboration with certified staff
- Promote and facilitate social, behavioral, and academic skill development
- Support teachers by preparing materials, adapting tasks, and monitoring student engagement
- Address escalations and high-intensity needs with professionalism and calm
- Document progress, behaviors, and incidents precisely as required
This full-time role offers a 37.5 hour workweek, Monday through Friday. In this impactful position, you will help students thrive by offering patience, structure, and dedicated support within their school community.
