School District Dietitian

Sodexo has an exciting new opportunity for a Full‑time School District Dietitian to support Parkway School District located in Chesterfield, Missouri , a western suburb of St. Louis. This is a year‑round position. This Registered Dietitian will provide nutritional guidance to students and menu support to our operations team and frontline managers as the nutrition expert for the district. This is a great opportunity for new RD's as well as experienced Dietitians! This position is eligible for relocation assistance What You’ll Do Responsible for menu planning and nutritional analysis, including system‑wide staff training on a computerized nutrition‑analysis system. Work with nutrition issues related to food allergies, weight management and disordered eating patterns and other medical issues requiring meal selection assistance. Participate in Health Fairs, community events and develop and deliver presentations as needed to support client goals. Provide direction for planning strategic goals, standards of the brand and maintaining effective communication with other managers and inter‑department liaisons. Establish and execute Client and Sodexo operating standards. Stay current with the most recent nutrition‑related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice. Manage nutrition databases including PrimeroEdge and NutriSlice. What You Bring Registered Dietitian credentials and licensure (LDN) in the state of MO. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to effectively engage, motivate and influence others regarding their nutrition. Strong presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the role. Working independently with little direction. Commitment to continued education in the nutrition field and implementation of new and innovative ideas. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Education Requirement: Master’s degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor’s degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). Credentials Requirement: Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials may be required at the time of hire; state certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. Minimum Functional Experience: 2 years of work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long‑term care, retirement homes, or clinics and registered dietitian designation.
