Construction Safety Manager Location: Woodford, VA Duration: 5 Months (Immediate Start) Type: 1099 Contractor Compensation & Schedule Pay Rate: $56/hr Per Diem: None Completion Bonus: $150/month Pay Frequency: Weekly Schedule: 50 Hours Per Week | Five 10-Hour Days | Day Shift Possible Saturday Work as Project Needs Require Why This Opportunity? Join a roofing contractor supporting the construction of a major data center project in Woodford, VA. This role offers the opportunity to provide hands‑on safety leadership during commercial roofing operations while working alongside project management, field supervision, and craft personnel on a fast‑paced mission‑critical project. The selected candidate will serve as the primary safety resource onsite, ensuring compliance with project safety requirements while supporting roofing operations, material handling, elevated work, and contractor coordination. Required Qualifications OSHA 500 Certification or higher designation Preferred Qualifications Data center construction experience General contractor or subcontractor safety experience Experience supporting commercial or industrial roofing projects Experience with crane operations, material handling, and fall protection programs CHST, ASP, or additional BCSP credentials What You’ll Be Doing Oversee daily safety activities for commercial roofing operations Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements Enforce fall protection programs and elevated work procedures Support roofing material handling, crane activities, and equipment operations Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation Deliver safety orientations and field safety coaching Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records Partner with project management and field supervision to proactively identify and mitigate hazards Promote a positive safety culture across the project Technical Knowledge Candidates should have working knowledge of: OSHA Construction Standards Commercial Roofing Construction Safety Data Center Construction Safety Fall Protection & Leading Edge Work Roofing Material Handling Operations Crane & Rigging Awareness Aerial Lifts & MEWPs Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) Development Incident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis Contractor Safety Management Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation Safety Auditing & Compliance Monitoring What Success Looks Like The ideal candidate is a highly visible, field-focused safety professional who can build strong relationships with roofing crews, supervisors, and project leadership while proactively identifying hazards, maintaining compliance, and supporting the safe execution of roofing operations throughout the project. #J-18808-Ljbffr Sheakley Workforce Staffing
