AI UX Designer/Architect

Salary: $146,300 - 306,400 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Design, Computer Science, Information Sciences, or a related field.
• We are looking for 10+ years of experience in user experience design, product design, UX research, human factors, or a similar discipline.
• We need demonstrated experience designing enterprise software or cloud platform experiences.
• We expect a strong portfolio that shows experience design and user research across complex software products.
• We require experience planning and conducting both qualitative and quantitative user research.
• We need proven ability to translate research findings into product and design recommendations.
• We expect experience designing AI-assisted experiences, conversational interfaces, or intelligent product workflows.
• We require a strong understanding of user-centered design methods, interaction design, usability principles, and information architecture.
• We need experience using modern design and research tools such as Figma, Qualtrics, Maze, or similar platforms.
• We expect excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
• Preferred experience includes database technologies, cloud infrastructure, developer tools, or enterprise software platforms.
• Preferred familiarity with generative AI, large language models, intelligent assistants, and AI-driven product experiences.
• Preferred experience defining customer personas and customer journey frameworks.
• Preferred knowledge of product analytics and experience measurement techniques.
• Preferred experience working in agile software development environments.

• We will lead the experience strategy for AI-powered capabilities across Oracle Database products.
• We will design intuitive, user-centered workflows for AI-assisted experiences, including copilots, conversational interfaces, intelligent recommendations, and guided workflows.
• We will define user journeys, interaction models, information architecture, wireframes, and prototypes that make complex database tasks easier.
• We will establish design principles and best practices for AI interactions that strengthen trust, transparency, discoverability, and explainability.
• We will partner with Product Management to ensure customer experience considerations shape product strategy and roadmap planning.
• We will champion the voice of the customer across cross-functional product teams.
• We will synthesize research findings into clear, actionable recommendations that influence product priorities, design choices, and engineering execution.
• We will present research insights, usability findings, and experience recommendations to Product, Engineering, and executive leadership.
• We will drive customer-centered decision-making across multiple Database initiatives.
• We will identify and leverage internal and external patterns across multiple projects while guiding junior staff to maintain consistency.
• We will collaborate with stakeholders, subject matter experts, designers, product teams, and development to deepen understanding of the domain and service blueprint.
• We will clearly identify user needs and business opportunities, shaping problem statements, user personas, and goals that exceed expectations.
• We will define and lead directions for the full ecosystem of touchpoints, workflows, and other elements of the user experience journey.
• We will analyze user research data to understand user goals and tell the story of user needs and the proposed solution.
• We will use and conduct qualitative and quantitative research methods with end users and other stakeholders to identify viable solutions.
• We will recognize where user research and design-led approaches are needed within Oracle.
• We will choose the right method, such as user journeys, wireframes, information architecture, user flow diagrams, and mockups, to communicate the intended experience.
• We will test and refine designs for quality, regulatory compliance, safety, and accessibility before finalization.
• We will develop detailed conceptual models and ensure consistency with them, adapting based on user feedback and usage data.
• We will use existing design systems, style guides, patterns, templates, and components where possible, adapting them when needed and advising junior team members as appropriate.
• We will create new patterns and experiences when current ones do not meet user needs.
• We will actively participate in design reviews and lead peer review within our area of work.
• We will present concepts, ideas, and feasibility to key stakeholders to build alignment, secure buy-in, and support timelines.
• We will communicate design processes, recommendations, alternatives, and trade-offs effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
• We will ensure team members have the resources needed to deliver on design goals.
