Utilizing your advanced training and knowledge, you will accurately interpret scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images. This role is critical in the overall treatment of our patients, making you an invaluable asset to the Cleveland Clinic system.A caregiver in this position works PRN (as needed) from 7:00AM – 5:30PM or 11:00AM – 9:00PM. PRN caregivers work variable days, which can include weekends and holidays.A caregiver who excels in this role will:Perform duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation to detect pathology.Operate equipment safely and maintain A.L.A.R.A. standards while performing procedures.Coordinate and answer questions regarding scheduling, patient information, networking and informatics.Document in charts and ensure that all electronic data is sent to its appropriate destination.Inspect equipment to ensure proper orientation.Provide copies of imaging studies.Perform routine, emergent, invasive and special procedures.Abide by all regulations that apply to state and national standards.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic TechnologyRegistered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists [R.T.(R) (ARRT)] in good standingCertification in Computed Tomography [R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT)] within one year of hireCurrent state licensureBasic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red CrossKnowledge of federal and state regulationsPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Two years of experience as an Imaging Technologist in an acute care imaging settingOur caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
