Children’s Minister

Cook Baptist Church is seeking a Children’s Minister who is called to serve Jesus Christ by investing in the next generation and partnering with families to help children know, love, and follow Jesus.

The Children’s Minister will provide leadership and oversight for the church’s children’s ministry, serving children from preschool through 6th grade. This role will work closely with parents, volunteers, and church staff to create a ministry environment where children are discipled, cared for, and encouraged to grow in their relationship with Christ.

Primary Responsibilities
Provide vision, leadership, and oversight for the children’s ministry from preschool through 6th grade.
Oversee and support all Connect Groups for children.
Lead and coordinate Wednesday night activities and programming for children.
Plan and oversee monthly fellowship events designed to build community among children and their families.
Recruit, equip, encourage, and care for children’s ministry volunteers.
Work closely with parents and families, seeking to partner with them in the spiritual development of their children.
Provide leadership and direction for the Nursery ministry, with the Nursery Coordinator reporting to the Children’s Minister.
Develop a ministry culture centered on biblical teaching, discipleship, relationships, and a genuine love for children and their families.
Collaborate with the pastor and church staff to advance the overall mission and vision of Cook Baptist Church.

Is able to recruit, lead, and develop volunteers.
Is relational, organized, dependable, and able to work well as part of a church staff.
Has a strong commitment to the authority and sufficiency of Scripture.
This position may be structured as either full-time or part-time depending on the candidate’s experience, calling, and availability.
