Position Summary The Department of Psychiatry at Banner University Medicine – Tucson is seeking a Masters level independently licensed LCSW or LPC to join the Early Psychosis Intervention Center (EPICenter) at the Whole Health Clinic, located at 535 N. Wilmot Rd, Suite 201, Tucson AZ 85711. The role will provide clinical assessment and psychotherapy services to adolescents and young adults in the early stages of psychotic illness. Schedule: Monday–Thursday 8a.m.–7p.m., Friday 8a.m.–5p.m.; 40 hours per week. No weekends or on‑call. Core Functions Provides assessment and direct psychotherapy to individuals, families, and groups; coordinates all aspects of patient care from admission to discharge. Provides education and orientation for patients, families, and others to assigned treatment program; collaborates with the patient in developing a written treatment plan. Monitors patients on an ongoing basis to assess needs and facilitate treatment; documents clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan, and progress charting in a timely manner. Actively participates as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and maintains effective working relationships with physicians and peers. May provide clinical updates to managed‑care representatives and may conduct cognitive testing with documentation of results. Coordinates with community‑based providers to assure optimal levels of care post‑discharge and maximize treatment outcomes. Provides critical assessments and appropriate treatment plans; manages and provides direct care of patients in the behavioral health treatment program. May provide indirect supervision to associate‑level therapists, including weekly supervision and appropriate documentation. May be required to review and sign off on clinical documentation from non‑licensed staff within 72 business hours of completion. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in counseling, behavioral health, or a related field; state licensure in the specialty (e.g., LCSW) required. A minimum of two years’ experience in a behavioral health setting and proficiency in treating a diverse population. Ability to work independently, bill CPT codes appropriately, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of evidence‑based treatments for early psychosis and/or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT‑I) preferred. Must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and sign an Arizona Criminal History Affidavit (if applicable).
