Composites Molding Technician Position Summary The Composites Molding Technician is responsible for manufacturing high-quality composite components using established molding processes, work instructions, and safety procedures. This position requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively in a production environment while maintaining strict quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Set up and operate composite molding equipment and related production tools. Prepare molds, materials, tooling, and equipment for production. Perform layup, material placement, vacuum bagging, and other composite manufacturing processes as required. Load and unload molds and production equipment safely and efficiently. Monitor molding processes to ensure parts meet established specifications and quality requirements. Follow work instructions, drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures. Inspect finished components for defects, dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and workmanship. Identify and report production, tooling, material, or quality issues. Perform basic equipment and tooling maintenance and housekeeping. Maintain accurate production and quality documentation. Use hand tools, measuring equipment, and production machinery as required. Follow all company safety, environmental, and quality policies. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Work collaboratively with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and other production departments. Meet established production schedules and productivity requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing, composites, aerospace, automotive, or industrial production experience preferred. Experience with composite materials or molding processes is a plus. Ability to read and follow technical instructions and manufacturing documentation. Basic mechanical and mathematical skills. Ability to use hand tools and measuring equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment as required. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with appropriate personal protective equipment. Ability to perform repetitive movements and work in various positions around molds and production equipment. Work Environment This position works in a manufacturing environment and may involve exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, temperature variations, and industrial equipment. Proper personal protective equipment and safety procedures must be followed at all times.
