Nursing Clinical Supervisor

St. Edward's University, a nationally ranked, independent Catholic university and Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), invites applications for an adjunct position in the Department of Nursing, beginning May 2026. The successful candidate will support clinical instruction in our undergraduate professional nursing programs. This role is intended to provide supervision and guidance during clinical rotations in support of the teaching/learning provided in the classroom by nursing program faculty. The collaboration between the Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Supervisor Assistant enables a faculty-to-student ratio of 1:15 in accordance with Texas Board of Nursing guidelines. Qualifications Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of Texas with 1 year of clinical experience. Master's degree or higher in nursing. Responsibilities Essential Responsibilities Include: Candidates should have an interest in and the ability or potential to teach undergraduate BSN courses, as well as support a diverse student body. Demonstrated clinical competence in assigned practice area (e.g., med‑surg, maternal‑child, psych, etc.) At least 1 year of recent clinical experience in the relevant setting Strong communication, mentorship, and critical thinking skills Availability during assigned clinical days/shifts (weekdays, evenings, or weekends depending on need) Supervise and guide nursing students in clinical practice settings (e.g., hospitals, clinics, long‑term care). Reinforce clinical skills, patient care practices, and professionalism in real‑time environments.
